Job description
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Support Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to individuals in their own homes. This position requires a commitment to enhancing the quality of life for our service users while promoting their independence and dignity.
Responsibilities
- Provide personal care and support to individuals, which may include assistance with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and meal preparation.
- Implement behaviour management strategies to support clients who may show challenging behaviours.
- Maintain accurate records of service user care and progress, reporting any changes to the appropriate healthcare professionals.
- Engage service users in meaningful activities that promote mental and emotional well-being.
- Collaborate with families, healthcare providers, and other support staff to create tailored care programmes.
- Drive service users to health appointments or social activities as required, ensuring their comfort and safety during transport.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to service users, fostering a trusting relationship.

Experience
- Previous experience in social health care, or similar settings is preferred but not mandatory, as training will be provided.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with service users from diverse backgrounds.
- A compassionate nature with a genuine desire to help others improve their quality of life.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Commitment to Achieve High Standards of Care and Support
- Enhanced DBS will be required
- Full UK Driving Licence Desirable as we operate in a rural area
